Debb VanDelinder grew up in the Northern Tier of Pennsylvania. She became interested in art at the age of nine when her Father first took her to the Arnot Art Museum in Elmira, NY for art lessons. These lessons led eventually to a Studio Art degree and a Masters in Art Education from Mansfield University. Debb first worked in graphic design before it was done on a computer. She later became an art teacher and currently teaches art in Upstate New York. She is also an owner/partner in VanDeli Art & Design. The firm specializes in web design, graphic design, fine art and photography.

VanDelinder has been exhibiting her works for the past 20 years. She is excited to be bringing her artwork to the Internet and feels it will allow her to reach a wider and more diverse audience. She primarily exhibits work done in Mixed-Media and Photography. The Mixed Media works are richly colored and highly detailed in style. Her Photography is generally black & white with a recent emphasis on digital pursuits. Her most recent show was titled Life Commentary and featured six digital photographic works. It was held during the month of October in the Gannett Tripp Library Art Wall Space at Elmira College. VanDelinder was the guest lecturer at EC on Photoshop Artistry, October 28th.

VanDelinder recently self-published a collection of black & white photographs and original haiku titled Water Songs (1998). An illustration by VanDelinder was published in the October/December 1998 issue of the Journal of Hand Therapy. Additionally VanDelinder illustrated Chemistry for Children (1985) by Arnold George and Robert Johnson. This past summer Debb had the honor of photographing First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton for the City Democratic Party during her listening tour visit to Elmira. She is currently seeking a publisher for an original children's picture book, and is working on a second one. Check out her illustrations and latest digital works in the Galleria d' Art section. You can find them in the Digital Portfolio and the Illustration Portfolio.

When at home, Debb indulges her passion for gardening. Go to The Artist's Garden to view her garden and see her recent tour of Brookgreen Gardens in South Carolina. Debb also enjoys many other creative pursuits and playing with her "boys" Simon & Jack.
